Drama set in Andy Warhol's 'Factory' New York art scene in the late '60s, specifically from the vantage point of Edie Sedgwick, his glamorous muse. Bostonian heiress Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) eschews her inheritance as a pink-pillow princess and decides to mix with the 'wrong' crowd. Moving to New York, she is drawn, as moth to flame, to the weirdo clan of Warhol's (Guy Pearce) hangers on that is the Factory movement. Unfortunately for her, she also indulges heavily in their substances of choice. Sedgwick became Andy's main muse - a glimmer of glamour among his dogpile of kooks, try-hards and fame-by-association fanatics. Her starring role in 'Poor Little Rich Girl' (1965) and a number of other small features notable only for their director's name, allowed her to call herself an actress. Sedgwick's brash, rich bitch image is revealed for a front covering a deeply fragile, naieve, trusting and self-conscious little girl. Sedgwick is shown to befriend Billy Quinn, (Hayden Christensen) a folk-rock poet loosely modeled, one assumes, on Bob Dylan - the only one who sees through the falsehoods and faade of the Factory scene, providing a contrasting view of all the fabulousness.
