Having escaped at the end of the original 'Fortress' film, John Brennick (Christopher Lambert) is again recaptured and placed within a high-tech maximum-security prison orbiting 26,000 miles above the planet Earth. Forced to perform dangerous space labour amidst lethal meteor showers, and trapped within a dehumanising surveillance system, Brennick soon decides to attempt the impossible and begins making plans for his escape.
