Two episodes from the crime series set on the south coast of Britain during the Second World War. In 'A Lesson in Murder' Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle (Michael Kitchen) is called in after a conscientious objector dies in police custody and a judge is threatened by an unknown party. In 'Eagle Day' Foyle's son Andrew (Julian Ovenden), a pilot with the RAF, helps investigate a suspicious situation at a nearby radar base.
