James Erskine directs this cricket documentary following the 1981 Ashes series, often referred to as 'Botham's Ashes'. As rioting and discontent brought chaos to the streets of England, English cricket also teetered on the brink of disaster with bookmakers offering odds of 500-1 against an English win in the third test. But the match-winning audacity and flair of deposed England captain Ian Botham led to the sporting turnaround of the century as favourites Australia were unexpectedly defeated and The Ashes returned home.
