Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Solid State Society

Animated feature which follows on from the events of 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig'. Two years after the resolution of the Individual Eleven case and the departure of Major Kusanagi (voice of Atsuko Tanaka) from Section 9, Togusa (Kouichi Yamadera) has taken on her role and must investigate a spate of strange events which leave a trail leading back to the enigmatic Puppeteer (Yoshiko Sakakibara). While investigating, Batou (Akio Ootsuka) encounters Kusanagi who appears to be leading her own investigation. She warns Batou to stay away from the Solid State Society and leaves. Doubt begins to creep into Batou's mind, and as the pieces of the puzzle slowly come together he cannot hide his suspicion that Kusanagi is somehow involved with the Puppeteer.
