One of 2003's more hyped cinema releases, The Hulk revisits the life of the green-skinned monster for another dose of Jekyll and Hyde-type action. And naturally, for a film of this magnitude, a series of video games has been released across all major platforms. Amazingly, it's called Hulk and it's arrived on Xbox.

Picking up on after the events of the film, Hulk follows the plight of troubled scientist Bruce Banner and his enraged alter ego, Hulk, as they battle against the terrifying forces of The Leader - a villain bent on using Hulk's unique gamma energy for his own evil purposes. Now Bruce must pursue his new foe through San Francisco, into Alcatraz, out of heavily guarded military installations and finally to the terrifying, surreal Freehold of the Leader himself.

Hulk gameplay largely comprises of two dominant playing styles, which differ depending on whether your role is as the Hulk or Bruce. Playing as Bruce, players must engage Metal Gear-esque tactics, using stealth and logic to navigate the game's 30 sizeable levels while solving myriad puzzles along the way. Alternatively, players can wreak havoc as the Hulk, using the brute strength and fury to overcome many obstacles and to defeat most oncoming enemies and bosses before facing The Leader himself.

Environments look great and are very interactive, with fully destructible objects that can be torn apart or manipulated with relative ease. Some can even be used as weapons. They come in especially handy when facing gamma-enhanced super-villains such as Flux and Rampage, as does Hulk's selection of special attacks such as the Sonic Clap and Gamma Slam.

Complete with high quality video footage, a crisp soundtrack and the voice talents of Eric Bana, Hulk is certainly an authentic representation of the big screen equivalent and is definitely worth a look.
