Gritty four-part drama series which caused great controversy and outrage when it was originally broadcast in 1978.
From the pen of G.F. Newman (creator of 'Judge John Deed'), it tells the story of London criminal Jack Lynn (Peter Dean of later 'Eastenders' fame) from the perspectives of the police force, the solicitor, the prison system and Lynn himself. It was the first cop show to explore the corruption of the British legal system in the 1970s and paved the way for a more realistic approach to the genre.
