Russ Meyer directs this legal drama adapted from Irving Wallace's novel. When a teenager is charged with rape, the erotic novel he recently purchased becomes the main focus of his court trial. The prosecutor, trying to make a name for himself before an upcoming election, tries to have the book banned for its obscene content, sparking a heated debate over the issues of censorship in America. As the book is cross-examined in court, a member of a local decency society comes forward with a startling revelation about the author's true identity which blows the case wide open.
