It erupted before, killing 19 people, and now a handful of researchers, armed with state-of-the-art equipment, are racing to save lives. They know that when this volcano erupts, the people of Banos will have only three minutes to get to the safety zone. But will they heed the warning sings? 'Raging Planet - Avalanches' looks at one of the most frightening and destructive forces in nature, with over one million rumbling down the world's mountains every year. Revolutionary technologies promise to keep victims alive long enough to be rescued from frozen tombs and across the globe, scientists have stepped up the pace in avalanche research, to unravel the complex dynamics of violent snow. Finally 'Raging Planet - Planet Storm' looks at the consequences of a single storm consuming the entire earth, or an interplanetary storm devouring the whole solar system. The programme also explores Mars' raging dust-storms and Jupiter's Great Red Spot.
