Party season 2006 is upon us and, not content with its SingStar releases thus far, Sony is back with a discful of what it deems suitable legends. This means the likes of Johnny Cash, Dusty Springfield and Madonna testing your tunefulness/tunelessness for this outing (see full list of songs to murder below).
As with the other SingStar games, the premise is simpler than writing a Xmas card. Select a song - preferably one that you're familiar with, just so you don't make a complete fool of yourself - and sing along with the highlighted lyrics on screen. In the name of entertainment, there is visual accompaniment, consisting of original promo videos in some cases. Some of the older tunes - Ring of Fire, Paranoid and the like - are from before the 'video age' and therefore are accompanied by still photos and fitting televisual special effects.
Two microphones can accommodate up to eight wannabes in some of the game's modes, so there's absolutely no excuse for not taking part if SingStar Legends makes an appearance at the next social gathering you attend. Better warm up those vocal chords...
