The Locket

Made-for-TV drama based on the best-selling novel set in an old people's home. Michael (Chad Willett) is a quiet, self-sacrificing young man who takes a job working as an orderly in the home after his mother's death from a prolonged illness. There he meets resident Esther Huish (Vanessa Redgrave) who sees in him a younger version of herself, and the two strike up a friendship. Michael decides to track down Esther's long-lost love, of whom the only keepsake is a faded photograph in the locket she wears around her neck. When Michael is suspected of the murder of another resident in the home, Esther stands up for her young friend.
