Centurion/Pathfinder

Double bill of historical adventure films. 'Centurion' (2010) stars Michael Fassbender as a Roman warrior sent on a dangerous mission. In 117 AD, Quintus Dias (Fassbender) marches into northern Britain with General Virilus (Dominic West)'s Ninth Legion in an attempt to take down the Picts who have been carrying out terrifying raids on Roman forts. When the legion is ambushed and Virilus taken captive, Quintus and his men must do all they can to survive in the harsh and unfamiliar terrain, rescue their General and get back to the safety of the Roman frontier. 'Pathfinder' (2007) is an action adventure which pits the Vikings against Native Americans. Stranded when his raiding party are shipwrecked off the coast of North America, a young Norse boy (Karl Urban) is raised by the Wampanoag Indians his compatriots came to enslave. When the Vikings return fifteen years later to plunder the coastline, they become the focus of a one-man war aimed at destroying the Norsemen and ensuring the Indians' survival.
