A documentary examing the way drug barons in the border region between the US and Mexico are increasingly using paramiltary forces to achieve their aims. As these powerful organisations employ the widespread use of torture, kidnapping and intimidation to strengthen their hold on the local populations, the ability of the authorities involved to maintain control of the situation is becoming ever more tenuous.
