Gallipoli

Mark Lee and Mel Gibson play Archy and Frank, two rival sprinters who become friends and decide to sign up with the Anzacs in World War I. Travelling from Australia to exotic Egypt is an adventure at first, but soon the pair must meet their destiny in the trenches of Gallipoli. Directed by Peter Weir ('The Truman Show', 'Witness').
