Brendan Toller directs this documentary detailing and lamenting the demise of that former staple of the small-town high street: the independent record shop. A once-cherished institution, this now endangered cultural haven has come under threat in recent years from an unstoppable tidal wave of adversities, including corporate greed, media consolidation, homogenised radio, multinational superstores, legal and illegal downloading and other technological shifts in the music industry.
