Fried Green Tomatoes

Based on the novel by Fannie Flag, this heartwarmingly funny story-with-in-a-story film in which Kathy Bates stars as an ignored Southern wife who meets an elderly woman at a nursing home and comes captivated by her stories about two feisty best friends and their escapades in the 1920s & 30s.
