Japanese drama directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura. Satoru Watarai (Gaku Hamada) lives in a government-built apartment complex which has all the amenities required for living contained within its boundaries. Choosing never to leave this estate, Satoru informs his mother of his plans and she agrees to go along with his wishes. When his friends leave the complex to continue their schooling, Satoru continues his education independently and divides his time between this and making sure the estate's residents are happy and catered to. But as the years progress and relationships come and go, will Satoru develop a curiosity for the outside world or will he continue along the isolated path he has chosen for himself?
