Silent snow, secret snow - Geras Adele

The story of a family Christmas. Relatives and friends of the Golden family are in a hotel run by Irena, the grandmother and very much the matriarch. A heavy fall of snow maroons the family and the enforced stay brings all kinds of hidden secrets tothe surface. The three teenagers in the family are drawn into adult secrets as well as having their own hidden fears and desires to resolve.

Adele Geras was born in Jerusalem and spent parts of her childhood in Nigeria and Borneo. She studied French and Spanish at St Hilda's College, Oxford and was an actress and a French teacher before she became a fulltime writer. Adele lives in Manchester.
