Inspired by classic Hannah Barbera cartoons and including a hint of Indiana Jones, The Secret Saturdays involves a family of adventurers that search for and protect the knowledge of legendary creatures in the world.

Beasts of the 5th Sun takes a direct cue from the animated series, where the entire Saturday family - Zak, Drew, Doc, Doyle and their pet Cryptids (legendary animals or creatures) Zon, Komodo and Fiskerton - battle against the evil V.V. Argost to stop him from taking advantage of the world's Cryptids.
